Away we go. No bus this morning. For the first day only, parents of the grade ones are to take their children to school for a 9:30 a.m start instead of 8:30 a.m.
The notice board says that all the French immersion students are to meet in the library. I think Keegan is a little nervous; he's holding my hand pretty tightly as we walk down the hall. :o) Wow, what a lot of people. There are 3 grade one French immersion classes this year.
Oh no, a glitch... No where in all the notices sent home does it mention you were to bring his bus number to school on the very first day. Now I'm stressed -- I'm off to the office before I leave the school. I want to make sure that I wrote down the correct bus number on the board!
All right, Madame Krista is here to take us to 1J -- Keegan's classroom. It's SOOO exciting.

Keegan had an absolutely great first day and first week!
He loves first grade and keeps talking about it: I went to music class; I got to play outside at lunch and at recess, and if it's raining or the weather is bad then you get to play inside; we played at the good playground today; you use the pink milk token for white milk and the brown one for chocolate milk; me and a few other kids in my class got lost in the hallway coming back from the library; once I know the Westwood song I'll sing it to you; we had to write our 0s and As today; we get to climb a rope in gym class; I made a new friend today, but I can't remember his name. He's in my class ...
Have a great year Monkey! Dad and I can't wait to share all the new ideas, friends, and joys of grade one with you.
